    It'll make a nice box-cutter.

Better than cookie-cutter. Although I'm not loving BOFA, the loss of the atrium is only part of my gripe with the final design. On facevalue its different, but its still overwhelmingly corporate.

Do you think that extension piece is for the mind turbine or the large spire?

I think its for the spire since it is sitting on the higher roof of the building and there is no indication that it is on the lower roof.

I really hope they don't build the wind-turbin too, this building is too complicated and confused as is.

They aren't, that was value-engineered out of the project long ago.

Oh, RandySavage, thanks for posting that night picture, I knew she'd be stunning at night.

Is that so, I don't remember hearing that they got rid of it. Interesting to know though.

Does ne1 know by chance, if the cladding of the crown will be ne different than the buildings cladding, or will it be more of a transparent glass as shown in the renders?

Since there is no floor slab area above the 57th floor (final mech. level IIRC, its been a while ) the glazing will not be as dark as the spandrel panels, but not clear like the vision panels. I'd assume some kind of fritted glass up there.

As for the wind turbine, it was taken away from the project as a cost savings measure. I don't know for a fact, but unless there would be significant returns on the investment, it would be blacklisted. This lack of a wind turbine should not affect the final Platinum LEED level.

Also, the adjacent building? Are you referring to Four Times Square? The other Bob Fox/Durst project?
