Construction of two new buildings for NYU has diverted pedestrians away from the construction zone on West 3rd St. for about a year, but both are coming close to completion.

The new 9 story academic building is for NYU Law School. The roof has now been added to the steel frame.

From the park, the new Kimmel Center and Law School building under construction. As a community facility, the Kimmel Center is 85% larger than a private residential development could be on the same site (NY Times). Probably true for the Law School building too.
