Great pictures. *The ESB looks more massive in those shots.
This must be the Waldorf:

Excellent shots.
The ESB and company all look so clean and new in some of these shots. *It's sort of a shame they get all gunked up with misc. antennas and stuff poking out of them. *I think the ESB looks better without its antenna.

All of these photos are just amazing. I love how the old photographs have that grainy, misty mystique to them. You just don't get that with modern cameras.
The second pic on your second posting, 'siah, what is that land jutting out on the east side of downtown? *Also, do you see how many piers there used to be, and, of course, boats? *Crazy.
If you're interested in an awful lot of old photos of the Chrysler Building (love it!) you should check out a new book called THE CHRYSLER BUILDING by David Stravitz. The book is purely photography and it's just...wow. Anyway, it focuses on the actual construction of the Chrysler up to the finish and there are even photos of the inside of the crown (I guess you'd call it that). There are also some shots of the city from the Chrysler which are very interesting.

Fantastic.
You mean the Lower East Side? The second pic on your second posting, 'siah, what is that land jutting out on the east side of downtown?
Yes, but isn't it bulging more than "normal?" *
Am I crazy? *Is it just the angle?
I'm just going to leave it alone now and let you think about it.
