    Magnificent.

It's a matter of time before the pieces of S across the street are redeveloped.

I look forward to the day when this project is complete above and below ground. Definitely a highly transformative project.

What I didn't notice until today, is hat you can kinda see construction of the Fulton Street Transit Center from the 7WTC cam.

Pictures from this morning. Demolishing this building for that new Pace dorm:

Across the street, construction elevators have gone up on both buildings:

Everything else is coming along nicely:

I didn't notice this until I got home, but the beams have notations on them.

Not sure if this is a way to catalog the beams, or simply the workers leaving their marks ...

I'd imagine they're a joke... pretty weird, pretty funny.

I just noticed that as well -- I wonder why they couldn't match the Corbin Building's streetwall? It seems odd that the transit center is inset another few feet. I suppose they might have wanted to create more sidewalk space by the transit entrance but you would think they could have managed the transition between the two buildings a bit better with perhaps a slight angle at the end of the transit center to meet the Corbin Building and cover up the blank wall edge.

As much as I'm annoyed with the decision, the sidewalk lines up with the extra space coming south on broadway offered by, and I'm sorry I don';t know the name/address of the building, but the awful pink thing just north of the transit center. Because the first floor is set in, there's an extra wide sidewalk, and this matches it. That said, it ends rather abruptly at the corbin building unless there's going to be a secret entrance on this side (which I do not believe is the case).
