The design kept changing. Does anyone know if the dome will be clad in glass (as originally proposed) or in metal (as subsequently proposed)?

Screencap from a June 2011 MTA video shows metal cladding.

This thing is less eye-popping than I expected. I hope the facade spruces it up. I know there's always been talk of building a "Grand Central" downtown, but so far, this isn't it.

If you're disappointed by this Roldan, check out what's being said on SSP and SSC about 440 Park. Supposedly, it's a 1000+ foot version of the Marriott Courtyard planned for 1715 Broadway.

Hmm, at least there haven't been years of renders that actually make that building look awesome, but yes, I can see where that would create some severe disappointment. I'll scout it out and be back.

Daquan, why did you post that in this thread? This has nothing to do with the transit center. There is a second avenue subway thread for you to post this in.

The metal cladding on the oculus is really unfortunate. Like the end of a giant air duct for a clothes dryer. What a shame they couldn't have stuck with the glass.

Do something right or don't do it at all, for Christ's sake.
