Should be interesting to watch this one go up. Apparently it's supposed to be a traditional design. Let's see if Cetra-Ruddy is capable of doing that, and not just conversions/restorations or modern boxes.

What's with that windowless addition on the building to the left?

Not an addition, that's probably been there for 50 years at least. It's a telephone exchange building.

The new construction seems to be a bit of a stealth building. There don't seem to be any renderings available.

Here's a recent photo from A Fine Blog, which has awoken after several months of slumber:

Looks like it should fit in just fine.

The facade kinda reminds me of the crappy hotels you see in the suburbs.

Is there a slight curve in the corner or is that an illusion?

I'm pretty sure there is a curve. That would be neat on a curved street, but it seems a little bit out of place here.

Yes, the swerve is there: and it does add some additional architectural interest to the facade. The 'curve' can be seen by viewing the 'A' line apartments in the floor plan section of the website. Here - http://www.200e79.com

I wondering how they will manage to do that 'curve' with full height glass?
