Did they pour the west plaza concrete? Last time I wend by, they were still installing rebar.
I know, I could just walk over there; but I'm still feeling foggy from weekend sports.
Zippy, I know the feeling well, it's Yankees/Giants hangover season. I did walk by T1 yesterday and the plaza wasn't finished - close, but not quite there. Haven't walked by today. So, knowing that and how long it took to install the last crane I will revise my previous statement and say I wouldn't start looking for it until the end of next week.
Now that the North core steel has pretty much caught up, are they going to jump the crain again?
A Manitowoc 18000? If I'm not mistaken that's one of the monsters that needs a whole separate cab for the counterweights. That's gonna be a tight fit.
It'll be interesting to see it assembled though.
Great photos folks: and special thanks to our rising "thread star"RKowens4.

Okay, I was up late working on a paper, took a break, googled "Manitowoc 18000" and it seems only one variant needs the extra counterweight cab. I assume that won't be the one coming to the WTC site. Still a monster crane though.
Yes there will be a 18000 arriving soon, It is brand new and was fully assembled in Lommas yard next to the Pulaski skyway for inspection, it is now in pieces and ready to be moved to the WTC. It is also quite a bit larger than the 16000 working there now![]()
Big pour on the west side...
Looks like the last column on the east side is getting ready to lifted off the truck.
