Sadly in NJ we wont stop seeing GS, especially with its awful lighting at night.
Nice rendering btw
First time seeing that one there. Wait a minute; Isn't that the tower that was just built? Sort of down the street from GZ.
I think that it's eiter a residential or a hotel.
Silverstein's 99 Church (now a hole in the ground).
Is it being built, or did it bite the dust?
Currently on hold, but in the works for the future.
It just seems a shame that 2 WTC will almost look as tall as 1. 1 WTC's upper 3rd shouldn't be crowded by others. Too late.
Worst yet, is that for people viewing the city on that side from WTC 1's obs deck, their view will be partially blocked by that tower.

That's great. If they couldn't go 120 or even 110 stories, well ok. But it would've been more prudent of them to even out the floors between the remaining buildings then. Backseat architect, I know, but think about all the developement that's going to go on there in the next 20 years.
The original twins were the same height and I don't recall the observation deck being a problem. With 1WTC, the observation deck curtainwall is mostly located on the 4 slanted sides of the building, none of them face tower 2
The obs deck will be fine. But when the Manhattan skyline is being shown, people don't want to see the world trade center. They want to see
THE WORLD TRADE CENTER
Wow, it has grown so big!The progress being made is amazing (not counting the delays due to bad weather conditions, i.e. snowstorms). Just a couple of floors more and it will surpass 7WTC.
And yes, the glass looks very good.
