I know that the cut-aways at the corners rise in a straight line across the facade, but to my eye they create the impression of a curve bowing up towards the top. I like.

I believe that it is in January.

I calculated it back when it was 30 weeks away from topping out, and I had concluded that the targeted topping out date would be sometime around January 25 or so.

Wow this thing is starting to look seriously TALL! And it's only about 2/3 of the way up to the roof!

We will happily be getting a belated Christmas / New Year's gift when the last beam is painted white and hoisted to the top of the tower when steel meets the sky.

Then it's on to getting the spire on top of the tower, signifying that the tower has reached its maximum height of 1,776 feet in the sky.

lammius, I recommend a morning bike ride along the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway. Enter it from Liberty State Park behind Liberty National GC clubhouse, and continue south through the Port Liberte development, exiting on Chapel Avenue. Very nice views of the changing Manhattan skyline.
