1WTC is getting it's twin towers feel...it's hard to believe sometimes, that the towers were that huge.

1 World Trade Center also has dynamic feel from different angles across the city. Where I live in the Rockaways it really is stunning watching this tower rise. It was only less than 2 years in my opinion that the view of the Lower Manhattan skyline got better with also the addition of the Beekman Tower also. Just wait when entire WTC Complex is done my view from Rockaway of Lower Manhattan will be spectacular!!!

It sure is a sight to see it from my house, can not really get a good photo because of the trees and haze in the air

Brian Williams mentioned it on the NBC Nightly News as well. Finally starting to get some coverage - and that's before it is even topped off.

    Nice, Zippy. As usual.

According to a PA source it's height now is 1244' at the top of the new steel.

    ESB is 1250'.

It's interesting to watch the process of 1WTC being included now in background shots for the evening network news, tv shows, etc. Immediately post 9/11 there was a rush to remove the WTC from images, and now stock footage of Manhattan without the new 1WTC is what appears dated.

The thing about supertalls is that the further away you get, the taller they look. They tend to stand out when you're out in Jersey or Queens
