Will the spire remain that color or will it be painted white like the BofA spire?

I know right, the least they could have done is paint it.
I hope in a decade or two we get a better and taller tower than this dud.

It's not very iconic at all. IMO it will not be the city's tallest once 432 Park is done.

Isn't the one at 432 Park Street going to be just as tall if not taller? The structural height?

When should we see the first antenna sections go up? This coming week perhaps?

Also, if cladding of the base is to begin soon, why hasn't it been squared off? Also, it looks as if only one side of the base has been fireproofed and brackets installed.

432 park structural height will be around 1,398 to 1 wtc 1,368 so 432 will be 30 feet taller than 1 wtc by roof.

It's chugging along in the Cape Cod Canal.

Even if it did, the first section wouldn't be visible, anyway, since it will probably be below the parapet.

Yeah, I think that the foundation of the antenna, that is the first section of it, will be installed partially below the roof.

The roof slab is yet to be poured (the 6' deep base section for the antenna). There is also considerable "dressing" of the sections to be completed on the ground before they are raised into place.

    Hold your horses folks.

You mentioned "dressing" of the sections.

Do you mean that the sections of the antenna will be painted, or will they stay as is?

    MRO.

The units are galvanized, and as such a decent silver grey color. What other color would they be?

You can't have guys climbing up there year after year repainting the thing.

I honestly don't know 100% but the fact the pieces left a climate controlled shop the color they did leads one to believe that's how it is.
