Walked by the base this morning and caught a few images of them working on the top of the spire. Looks like a glass enclosure at the very top that they were working in

    That elevator ride looks neat-o.

What the hell is with the insanely long foundation hallway? That is all a facsimile, isn't it? I can only assume that the long ass winding hallway is actually for security purposes as well as a simple que.

And those video screens look even worse in motion. Just what people want in an observatory - something blocking their view. : picardfacepalm :

That long, dark, and curvy corridor to the elevators is reminiscent of something to soothe cattle as they make their way to the abattoir.

All the logos of the building still use the original spire design.

Fantastic 3D modeling of the spire: every detail down to the bolds are observable. Those 'cat-walk' circular platforms all can be accessed by the ladders that are inside the center of the structural members of the spire: I would welcome the opportunity to climb that ladder and stop at each platform on the way up to enjoy the view.

The only one platform I would not attempt is the uppermost platform: because those 'ladder steps' are not enclosed inside the structural framing - all the others would be easy to climb without fear.

From the renders you can see the next section involves connecting the cable stays. Would imagine that extra work accounts for the delay this past month or two.

That would add to the theatricality of the site:
