^ Evidently it's a showery, fall day when this picture is taken and raincoats are a must-have accessory in October 2015 New York City. Thanks to a 164.8 YPG average by 4th year receiver Reuben Randle, the Giants have shot out to a 6-0 start in pursuit of their 5th straight Super Bowl. A girl in a long red coat dutifully sends her mandatory, daily, "clothing optional" tweet to Mayor Weiner's Twitter 2.0 account. Another girl, sporting a racy PVC number, tries to make an inconspicuous "walk of shame" through the busiest transit hub in the city. The legal drinking age has been lowered to 18 and, in the same, Vice President Rice sponsored bill, music by anyone younger than the age of 21 has been outlawed. The Stones continue their 3 year long, 50th anniversary world tour titled A Bigger (Colostomy) Bag..."we love it" Charlie Watts is quoted as saying "we feel the wheelchair adds to Keith's Satisfaction riff".

It will be stunning.
The steel for those floating bridges at the ends of the Oculus is starting to go up. Wild stuff...i wish Zen was here...![]()
I examined the southern-most wall of the southbound N platform and noticed that they are completely tiled over in a permanent fashion; aren't there two connections between the mall and the southbound N platform in the blueprints (similar to the original complex)? Note that I am referring to the platform itself, not the third connection provided by the Dey Street Concourse, which is the level below the platform. According to the blueprints below, this southern connection is just south of the One Liberty Plaza underpass...

That second image is the first I've seen that shows a figure 8 traffic pattern for the Vehicle Security Center, with vehicles entering at center along Liberty Street, circling around from west to east and then entering what appears to be the security search area (running diagonally NE to SW) -- then looping down again, before heading towards 4WTC and entering the subterranean area below the towers.
That drawing on the right is outdated, probably verson 7. Version 10 (last one) does show a connection to the southbound platform, which is accesible by taking either the stairs or an elevator from the B1 Level (upper concourse level).
I just realized, if anybody has ever been to the Gallery in Philadelphia, the set up,not design is very similar. The Gallery has many stores, etc, and as well connects to subways and comuter rail lines.
The image on the right depicts B2, so naturally it wouldn't show the connections between the upper concourse (B1) and the southbound N platform. In retrospect I shouldn't have uploaded it since it seems to be confusing my question.
The left picture, however, clearly shows TWO access points between the upper concourse (B1) and the southbound N platform (one north and one south, both marked by blue circles). My confusion arose because when I personally inspected the southern portion of the wall, it was permanently tiled over. This is why I am asking if the southern connection is still part of the design. Perhaps, the southern connection was moved to the lower concourse (B2) so that it can connect seamlessly with the One Liberty Plaza underpass? I somehow doubt it, though.
I agree this is similar to the Gallery in function but our new center is much more expensive.
And we know how the MTA likes to waste our $.
