The renovation of Washington Square Park started in December 2007. It's still not finished. Now there's a scandal if you want to dig into it.

Union largesse at work! That's why NY is broke.

Wow that last PA photo really brings home the scope of the project.

Looks beautiful - let's hope one day they don't raze the top portion to put a new MSG on top :/

This looks several years from being complete. I cringe at the thought on the man hours going into it.

Don't look now, but I think the first spike went on today. you can see it in the Earthcams. Northwest corner.

What's the anticipated completion date for the hub?

I'm assuming they're going to be shifting people and trains over, one platform at a time while they rebuild them, and demolish the temporary structure above and open up more of the transit hall.

Earthcam shows another spike installation taking place right now (Click Tower 1 Base cam and zoom to the bottom center):

I noticed that they put up a new wall divider in the wtc path station this week (almost looks like they are dividing the newark and Hoboken trains). I wonder if they are going to start using the new platform in the very near future or if this wall is simply unrelated.

    Default Good.

Dividing the trains would be less confusing.

A Skyscraper City poster figured out the URLs for the Earthcam images. Here's the link to the Oculus camera: http://kerrigan.synology.me/earthcam.php?view=path
