A second two-piece rafter, larger than the first, arrived on site.

It does, like a closeup of her unfinished.

Reminds me of the graceful arch of the Hell Gate Bridge. And speaking of a gate to hell, it also reminds me of the bleached, half-buried skeleton of some Lovecraftian horror. Call it W'Tcth.

••• “Who knew there was going to be a Grand Staircase inside the new PATH Station? On the thread to this post from WTC Progress comes the news that the new PATH Hall at the WTC will be opening this December at which point the temporary PATH entrance on West Broadway will be closed. New entrances will be opened at 4 WTC and 2 WTC (even though this tower has yet to be built there will be an entrance here nonetheless). The completed station with all the retail stores is not expected to open until a few months later, in the Spring of 2015!” —

Wow, that is a pleasant surprise. I was not expecting this to be open for at least another year. I'm so sick of using that grungy temp station.

Performing Arts Center, here we come!

I would prefer grand escalators, but I guess the headhouse across the street at Brookfield Place makes up for that.
