I passed by NJPAC today. There are about 10 cars, including 2 PD cars in the parking lot, but I didn't see any cops around. They might just have parked it there until they finish moving. There's an article from around March that mentions NDD and a Substation moving to the Military Park Building and that the move would be complete by September.

    Here's the article: http://www.njbiz.com/article/2015031...-park-building

It is "one Riverview at rector" shaq tower is just the forum slang lol.

If you scroll back to the start of this thread, you can see that many projects, manynof which are completed, and many that never were, have been in the plans for some time.

All I'm saying is it takes time. Some of the basic elements of the 2006 redevelopment plans have only just recently started to take shape, but looking around - it is starting to pick up exponentially.

I mean 2 years ago, broad st and Halsey looked like 20th century ruin. I was staring at the s klien building, and looking over my shoulder on Halsey and walking all the way around military park at night.

Now, its this wide open brand new, green, glass, growing urban space. Brand new renovat d apartments all up and down that part of Halsey, military park beautiful and packed, new hip retail etc. And hahnes isn't even done yet. It takes time and its going to continue to take time.

On another note - love IDT being back in their own building AND the Rutgers Washington building lit up. Adds to the skyline.

And KRUGS - yes it is well, well worth it. If you like burgers - it will be one of the very best you ever have. GO.

In the 15 years I've worked in Newark I watched them pull 2 bodies from the river at the Bridge Street bridge. The NY skyline view includes the river action might be part of the rental pitch

I'm just going to assume this is sarcasm and point out that the whole push to get the park to include the area under that bridge (the land is owned by NJDOT) is to prevent the homeless that live there. At this point I haven't seen anyone imply it was foul play are more likely a suicide or an overdose. The priority now is to clean up and open that park up to the NJPAC since large parts of the land are remediated and just need to be maintained (ie from the brigde to the Horizon building and from the train station to NJPAC). Ultimately, despite the sarcasm this park is becoming part of the rental and ownership pitch.

Is there anything in regards to the Westinghouse site? Prime land that's still being wasted, a common theme for downtown.
