    Cranes cranes cranes! This area is going to be wild when the subway construction finally clears out of here. I guess the southern emergency exit/ventilation building for that (26&11 or so) is finally above ground too. I'd love to see an areal shot of the line of ventilation buildings before all the towers between go up.

    They should have put a set back up top to leave the water tanks exposed -- hide the HVAC mechanicals (wish they'd do that everywhere) but the water tanks should be seen.

    Take away that little old tenement on the corner and this one loses lots of its charm.

    A building like this deserves something better than parapets. Whip out the cornices!

    It's true. Parapets are downright weird on anything that's not a castle/fortress. The industrial touches are nice, at least.

    I'm thinking that there will be black metal detailing added between the parapets to enclose the roof top space, so that will visually minimize them to some degree. But right now they look very odd.
