    Default 235 Grand Construction Update

I've always liked this stretch of Downtown Jersey City since it started coming together about ten years ago, and I think 235 Grand is really going to have a huge impact on the area when it completes the streetscape. To me, this is starting to look like the Financial District in Manhattan with its winding streets lined with mid- and high- rise buildings but cleaner and without the overwhelming crowds (and I can see the pocket park as becoming a real center of activity lined with cafes and restaurants once this neighborhood is complete):

Thumbs up Roseland to Start Construction on 3 Monster Towers Late 2018/Early 2019

According to the latest Mack-Cali earnings supplemental, their Roseland residential division is planning to start construction on three massive towers in Downtown JC between the end of this year and beginning of next year:

    -25 Columbus (Late 2018/718 apartments)
    -Plaza 8 (Early 2019/679 apartments)
    -Urby II (Early 2019/750 apartments)

So these units should be hitting the market around late 2021/early 2022 (with a projected 36-month +/- construction timeframe). I guess the building boom should be resuming in about a year then (seems pretty stagnant right now with just one major ground breaking in the past 20 months).

What does Plaza 8 look like?
