I don't think most of the old regulars know this is reopened after being unavailable through the summer. Have a few juicy tidbits for anyone reading if they're interested.

8 story development replacing the former Colonette/Jersey City Diner /La Mexicana on Route 440 is approved by Planning Board. 158 units right next to the western edge of the Bayfront development.... I personally find this a headscratcher as it is located on a lot surrounded by Route 440 and access connecting roads, but the development still needs considerable work and won't start construction til at least spring 2022.

Even more intriguing, though some more negotiation with NJT has to occur before any approvals are dispensed... there is a serious plan to rework the huge Park and Ride lot across from the Light Rail(which is now fronted by a small children's park/playground and NJT bus stop) into a major mixed use project, with potentially five or six buildings including two 12 story, mixed used towers closer to West Side Avenue and at least two six story residences toward the back part of the lot. Included as well is a six story garage that will replace a considerable amount of the park/ride parking loss. The key is the elevated extension of the light rail to Route 440 and its new Bayfront station. Not only will it be for the light rail but it will include a walkway/park benefit. There would be about 840 units in total pus retail and perhaps some office component. With the expansion of the light rail to a major new development there is the great opportunity to build and grow around it and promote and support mass transit options like the bus/light rail.
