Thread: Cobblestone Streets

    Washington St from the BQE to the river was repaved last year using different stone.

    The rough pavers that are common everywhere were used for parking lanes. The traffic lane got a more brick-like smooth stone, and granite was used in the crosswalks. The traffic lane surface is good for bicycles, so I don't see what the big deal is.

    And it looks pretty good.

    Street View - Washington St

    At the Front St intersection, the camera view changes to 2009, and you can see what the street looked like before it was repaved.

    Nevermind bikes, try blading on/near/in memory of any of these surfaces!
