This is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, its mix of natural beauty and astounding architecture makes it almost surreal. This is a topic for general discussion of the existing buildings in sydney.
Modern architecture with the grace of art deco.

The 3 main art-deco influenced modern Sydney scrapers.
No 1 O'Connell Street:
HSBC Centre Tower:
Chifley Square Tower: from 3 different angles:
The orange coloured structures below are being built in Sydney's mid-town of the future:

He's titled it "A City In The Sky"
Sydney is a little bit of Times Squareand it has some of Hong Kong's neon lights. It's beautiful.
If you look from darling harbour towards the city at dusk when the lights are on it looks just like Hong Kong.
Across the Sydney Harbour Bridge - North Sydney and a part of Sydney of the future:
Beaumonde Apartments which is 377ft / 115m @ 36 loors above ground.
Anticipated completion late 2005.
Flashing pic and non flasher:
Outlined in the below pics:
A pic of North Sydney awaiting for its 3rd highest scraper i.e. Beaumonde Tower Apartments:
Also Chatswood once again being part of the future of Sydney,
further along the North Shore also across the Harbour:
Epica being the tallest under construction. Height 315ft / 96m @ 33 levels above ground.
Anticipated completion @ the end of 2004.
A rendering of Epica Apartments next to the smaller Altura Apts., already completed to its left -
all known as part of a larger complex known as Pacific Place:
An aeiral of the burgeioning Chatswood:
I think that this area of Sydney really needs more Skyscrapers, its a nice little clump right now but it could do with more.
emmeka LOL @ "its a nice little clump right now".....hardly as lots of clusters of talls are forming right before our very eyes!!
The ball is already rolling as far as Sydney's C.B.D. i.e. Central Business District is going.
Just take another look at the previous post where the buildings under construction are coloured orange with the key of what they are.
Some 7 that are coming on line (besides many others) that come immediately to mind....are all part of Sydney of the future.
The new model for John Boyd Tower:
KENS i.e. Westpac Bank's new World HQ:
Foster & Partners' lumiere (the taller) @ Frasier Suites, Regent Place @ 101 Bathurst Street:
The other Foster & Co.; BT Tower:
...and of course Latitude @ World Square i.e. Ernst & Young Tower:
Yes Im aware of those, but I wasnt referring to Sydney itself, i was refering to the 'clump' of buildings across the bridge opposite the city(on the road out of Sydney)
That wasn't clear emmeka however, they're all part of Sydney city, regardless whether they're all part of the main Sydney downtown or otherwise.
Here's Bondi Junction that's not across Sydney Harbour, but to the east.
A rendering of Genoa Apartment Towers, which has just topped-out and nearing completion:
The Nokia Tower which is currently getting a makeover in white:
A cluster of towers in Bondi Juction....
The tallest in St Leonards, Forum....
Almost completed, Abode - 2 renderings.....
An aerial of St Leonards:
Once again an aerial of Chatswood:
Yes I know but i said what i said because im trying to point out that its the bit across the harbour, not a different city, i know that its part of Sydney city.Originally Posted by JonY
