Awesome pics, thanks Derek.
That cream building on the right in the Nassau Street pic is stunning.

Harder to believe is that many cities we now think of as gone (Detroit, Buffalo, and Cleveland come to mind) used to look like that.
I normally only take photos of buildings under construction, but this came out fantastic. 8 Spruce looks great!

The plaza is finally open.
Complete with many annoying "Don't Play in the Water" signs.
^ Are they expecting lots of children, or does that apply to everyone?
Playing in water is harmless fun.
Fun? Dontcha know you have to pay for fun in NYC?
Yesterday the only thing I saw coming near to "playing" in the water (actually groupings of little mini-geysers coming up through the pavers) was a dog on a leash. The way it's set up is an open invite for play, so I'd bet that the designers' intention and the management's desire are at odds on this one.
Cheapest fun around south of chambers is probably still the mini golf on pier, eh, 26? I do love the giant slide in BPC and watching helicopters come and go from the elevated acre, though.
That is tempting. Once I'm in swimsuit shape, expect photos of me cavorting in it.
