No I'm not offended that you constantly point out the crap... (just mildly annoyed- probably like most everyone else here).
It's the constant London comparisons and the accompanying claims.
London is superior and can build no wrong, how everyone loves what they are building in London.
How much Londoners care about their architecture and how much "New Yorkers" don't.
How all the new towers in London are superior yada, yada, yada...How any "objective" (insulting) person would cream for one of those monstrosities to be built here...
-just your opinion.
My opinion is that London is beautiful and that they are just as quickly destroying it (as in NY) by tossing up all that new "VERY Gimmicky" glassy architecture.
I wouldn't want to see any of it built here, any more than I like seeing the junk that we are already getting...
But You wont find me responding ad nauseum, day in and day out about it.
Opinion registered...time to do something about it, or move on.
The building massacre above is enough to make one weep. (but this kinda crap also happens outside NYC)
Why should NY try to emulate any European city?
I believe rather that NY should strive to be the best that it can be,
and by doing so, inspire other cities - like it used to.
That's fine but do it in one or two posts and get on with it. We don't need to hear about it in half a dozen posts EACH day for the next year.
That's when it becomes unbearable for the rest of us. It's the same bunch of 10-20 regular readers here (OK, regular readers that actually comment on here; I'm sure there are more readers here that don't comment so don't get offended Edward).
We've already heard what you have to say. No need to repeat it 8000 times.
LL, maybe a lot of people are getting tired of clicking on the new posts of DIFFERENT thread topics, and finding the same old same-old.
It's getting spammy. Start a blog.

Nice that they tucked all the mechanicals away.
But when are they going to clean the north face? Grimy as heck. Or are those two-toned stainless panels that they installed on that side?
I think its better than most people give it credit for
I agree with you, Common Sense.
Also, I love Goldman. What an outstanding company. Any city in the world would love to have them. They contribute enormously to NY's economy.
I think they disproportionately contribute to themselves more than the local economy, but there's not much anyone is willing to do about that right now. But here's a photo from a somewhat less common angle:
