Maybe I'm just crazy, but I kinda like this design. Reminds me a little of the Empire State Building in color scheme.

Construction has begun on an unusual 43-story hotel and rental apartment building on the Avenue of the Americas between 38th and 39th Streets. The project, to be known as Bryant Park Tower, will house an extended-stay hotel - the 357-suite Marriott Residence Inn - with 96 studio and one-bedroom rental apartments on the top 10 floors. 25 April 2004.

This "Bryant Park Tower" is on Sixth Avenue at 38th and 39th Streets, at least two blocks south of Bryant Park itself. Try not to confuse this inferior structure with the proposed One Bryant Park on 42nd Street, 970 feet and 57 floors of power and grandeur. Frankly I think the 970-foot behemoth should have obtained the "BP Tower" name.

Geez, my ignorant self somehow confused this tower, with the Bank of America Tower known as One Bryant Park...

I was thinking, "what happened to that beautiful glass design!?"

    I nearly crapped myself.

This tower is an ugly mess and a waste of this great site.

I think that's the general consensus on this board. At least the original design was tolerable and slightly interesting; either the rendering is unintentionally awkward or the architect is making a colossal mistake.

    In other words: Eeeeww...

This building is strikingly similar to 3 Park Avenue.

Agreed. It might be even acceptable in its design, but the construction work is terrible. The contractor should be blacklisted.
