Do you know where the other Armani hotel will be? There will be two in NY supposedly.

Also, does your source know about the prospects of Shangri-La and Taj? I hope that one of them builds on a dilapidated site on 5th in the 40's.

Ferragamo, Bulgari, Missoni and Krizia are all in the hotel business.

Feragamo has 5 hotels in Florence. A friend of mine designs their interiors and they´re all beautiful:

    Bulgari Hotel in Milan:

    Expect Ralph Lauren to follow...

Before the Bush Tower gets its not ready for prime time "addition," take the time now to check it all from all angles. Even as filthy as its exterior is, the Bush Tower is a truly great building. Once that addition goes up, you'll lose the building's great proportions and its clever multicolored brickwork. Don't count on the addition actually "adding" anything to the mix. At all.

    In short, "See it Now."

Netting has been put up the entire length of the air shaft
that runs up the middle of the east side of Bush Tower ...

(you can see the reflection of the B of A / crane in the glass of 7 TS)

^^ Those lonely windows sure are a bit oddly placed on that eastern facade. Three together, one lonely, two together...

I wonder if they were originally there or added later.

Notice BTW, how those blank walls are handled with brick work that creates a trompe l'oeil 3d effect:

This project is frustrating. What's going on here?

How come? Because the old one clashes with Bush Tower more?

And I like the new design better, by the way. Looks more urban and creates a better streetwall, good infill for such a robust part of the city.

Is that what will actually be built?

I assumed that since the old design was for offices and the project now will be a hotel, that a new design would be made.

I also hoped that given the opulence of entities from Dubai, that something really nice would be built there.
