Very nice. Some of the '60s-era skycrapers are a bit brutal, though.

Its Britain, Hello! There Concrete/pebbledash flats, in every city in Britain they have those. They dont deserve to be called skyscrapers.

However. Glasgow is a beautiful city for new architecture especially the science exhibition centre by foster.

Yes your too right and Glasgow has the most tower blocks in the UK after London and some of the tallest too, there are plans to demolish alot of them but the council have been saying this for ages! Your right though the armadillo and science centre are nice additions, there
are so many projects and construction going on in the city at the moment things are looking good.

IIRC, was 'Glahsgie' not the 2nd largest city in the UK at one point?

There is a very interesting picture or two of the Gorbals area in G. Stamp's "Britain's Lost Cities". Basically run down but very fine buildings. All torn down in slum clcearance for the nasty stuff mentioned in one of the early posts. The city 'centre', though, is considered architecturally very valuable.

    Someone should post some Mackintosh...

Yes it was called '2nd city of the empire' at one point. The city is full of great buildings although unfortunately too many towers in the park.
