Default 2 Gold Street - Rental - Financial District - by Avinash K. Malhotra Architects

I was just over here, yesterday morning. I'm speculating that this is going to be ~700 Ft. Anyone care to comment?

The developer's site is really vague; aside from the mention of a 650,000-square-foot tower, there's nothing.

When I look up 650,000-square-foot towers (Google), I get ~40 some floors, but skycraperpage.com seems to think this thing is going to be bigger.

    Anyone have thoughts?

The permit says 51 floors. Architect is Avinash K. Malhotra, who just finished the Electra in upper Manhattan, possibly the most terrible building to be constructed in the last decade.

Trump World Tower, in comparison, is about 850,000 square feet. But I think 2 Gold Street's plot is a lot bigger.

I took a look at the sight, yesterday...no action, but it's a BIG plot o' land...the views are gonna be great.

    The proposed 2 Gold Street Tower 2 will be 45 levels above ground @ 558ft / 170m.

The already under construction 2 Gold Street Tower 1, 51 levels above gound @ approx. 623ft / 190m.

    These stats from skyscraperpage.com & skyscrapers.com.

@ JMC. It may be time consuming however you may get some or most answers from these same sites for the buildings you just listed.

    Cheers

Thanks for the information. At ~623 feet it must have a crown or something.

No problemo  Just a few clicks on the old mouse.

Are the any renderings on the construction hoarding of No. 1 or in the press of either Tower 1 or the proposed Tower 2?

Can't seem to find anything on the internet

I didn't even know that a second tower was proposed for that project. I hope that it's on the site now occupied by a dingy, six story or so office building from the 1950's.

I believe there are actually two cranes down there...the plot is large.

If anyone can tell me how to post a pic, here, I'd be glad to do it...

E-mail tugrul@galatali.com for space (arch related only), then use the img tags to post it here.
