Trees will be welcome along here

Wondering if the seams where the planes meet will get some metal stripping to cover the roller connectors

I think they're part of "the look."

Lofter1, do you know what exactly will be in those two smaller buildings facing West Street?

Vents. They were stated numerous times, and a freight elevator, and emergency stairwells.

I thought DQ was wondering about 2&3 WFC.... Also, the plaque with the name of one of my neighbors that worked for Cantor-Fitzgerald is just north of the crane on the eastern side of the north pool. Walking by the memorial on Sunday I was amazed at how small the space looks now, and in the future it will be hemmed in more by the other towers.

some sort of 9-11 vehicle being loaded into the North access opening of the memorial.

Didn't think of those two, but it HAS just donned on me just now, that there ACUALLY ARE two small buildings over there as well. And they are almost immediately across from the 2 that I was asking about that go with the Memorial.

But the WFC ones ARE cute in their own little way!!

Just got home from work and it looks like they are finishing up the computer system. I didn't fill out most of the information they wanted since I have no direct personal connection. Just condolences to the lost and my name in case I want to find out where the stone is.

    Dear Mr. Cheesecake,

We are less than 60 days from the opening of the National September 11 Memorial on the 10th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. As we approach this historic event, thank you for donating $500 by sponsoring 1 cobblestone on the Memorial plaza.
We are now in the process of creating a website that will allow you to identify your cobblestone both online and in electronic directories at the Memorial. In order to ensure that your cobblestone information is correct, please take just two minutes of your time today to verify this information using your uniquely-assigned Pin Number Code:
    Cobblestone Pin Number Code: ----------------
In order to ensure that your cobblestone information is fully-accurate and up-to-date prior to the launch of our website, we need your assistance no later than July 29, 2011.
Please take a moment right now to log onto our secure website at www.911memorial.org/cobblestone/verify and use your assigned Pin Number Code, to confirm and/or update the following information for the cobblestone you have sponsored:

    1. Sponsor name (you or your organization’s name. This must be less than 60 characters including punctuation and spacing and can only accommodate one name),
    2. Honoree name (This must be less than 60 characters including punctuation and spacing and can only accommodate one name),
    3. Your complete cobblestone listing (a name and/or brief message, which will be displayed in full on the electronic directories. This must be less than 255 characters including punctuation and spacing).
If for some reason you are unable to complete your cobblestone verification today, please keep an eye out for a letter in the mail that will also contain your Pin Number Code. We would appreciate your response as soon as possible. If you do not wish to make any changes to your cobblestone information, it will appear exactly as listed on the verification website.
Thank you again Mr. Walker for generously sponsoring your own Memorial cobblestone.
    Sincerely,

    Joe Daniels

Remember the big granite stone wall that former Gov George Pataki commerated on July 4, 2004 as supposedly the start of the construction of One WTC?

I wonder what happened to that after it was removed from the site. They should bring it back for the Memorial.
