Materials costs are rising so quickly that there is suddenly an incentive for developers to move quickly and get things finished.

    Cool Closings

I believe they were first expecting closings to begin in August, though with the new development delays that are inevitible in any new development in manhattan (I am coming from a new construction purchase which was delayed 3 months and I was the first closing for that project), I wouldn't expect August, even though the building is going up at an exceptional rate and the workmanship appears to be excellent as well. I would expect closer to October or so. August would be welcomed of course.

Skylimitone: great photos - this glass looks great in direct bright sunlight, other times, it looks pretty horrid.

Topped out at 35 stories as of Nov. 4th

Aside from the skin, this one is a little, residential Goldman Sachs.

This is a sharp looking tower, easily one of the best in BPC.

A time lapse of the building going up from June until now. (Video is very much a work in progress, but then so is the building.)

I'll update it as it completes. I am actually shooting about many more shots a day and have been since May or so and in much higher resolution.

I was just messing around with compilation of the video, but still have much more tweaking to do for final form. This video is one picture around midday for a little over 100 days.

This one looks fantastic. A higher-quality Ariel East.

    ^Dynamite view.

Visionaire looks good there, as does 6-10 Barclay (surprisingly). And for all the haters of 60 Wall, take a look at One Liberty Plaza. It is undoubtedly the ugliest and most awkward building in the skyline.

It looks worst than Chase, which I like but think belongs somewhere else.

I think downtown is the only place in the world where modernist buildings like the Chase and 1 Liberty Plaza actually feel like they belong.
