    I don't understand that family at all, they gave some BS about how they were consolidating operations and would re-open soon in a new building, but instead they just closed everything except a small boutique at Century 21 (including the website which was massively stupid) . They even have a prime penthouse location in one of their buildings that they could have sold for $20M+ but instead took off the market. So here they are many years later doing absolutely nothing except letting their entire legacy rot away

    My biggest question is why his modeled work never make it to the unfinished facade of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

    Not that cost prohibitive, Trump just didn't want to bother. They had cranes already, they only had to saw them off from the inside and lift them onto a flatbed. The Met would have covered part/most of that cost

    That building was not worth saving IMO, but the key architectural features should have been preserved
