That will never happen, and shouldn't happen. Casinos are more of a blight than anything. And it isn't like Manhattan residents are the major casino customers anyways.

There are already casinos in the NYC area, of course. The most lucrative casino on earth is in Queens. The largest casinos on earth are in CT. A big one is in Yonkers. Casinos are coming to the Catskills. One is coming to Long Island. The two new ones in Northern NJ won't harm AC because 1. The NYC area is already innundated with closer options and 2. Revenues from the new new casinos are to be directed to AC casinos (which makes no sense to me, but Christie has already established himself as an idiot and the worst governor in modern history).

Well thanks for making my point. The video racino in the middle of nowhere in Queens is the most lucrative, can you imagine Manhattan? It's the most lucrative because it siphons off people that would otherwise go spend that money to all the other places you mentioned. It doesn't even siphon all or even most of them because there's no craps and other live table games. Manhattan's full casino would undoubtedly be a high class destination, as in Borgata on steroids.

Not only would you repatriate all that income that is rightfully NYC's, but you would also draw in all the NYC tourist money. It's an absolute no brainer, the only reason it hasn't happened is because of all the special interests who rob and want to keep robbing NYC of its disposable income.

You could fund the whole MTA with that casino and finish 2nd Avenue, East side access, etc etc

Stockton University is planning 500 dorms, an 800 car parking garage with offices for South Jersey Gas on top, and a campus building in Atlantic City. The whole project will cost about $125 Million

Unlike the earlier casino plan, this will be a ground up construction. AC DEVCO will be developing it. The sites are at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and South Albany Avenue.

Atlantic City Could Default in Weeks, Ratings Agency Says
    http://www.nytimes.com/2016/03/10/ny...ency-says.html

ATLANTIC CITY — Atlantic City could face default as early as April without “drastic action” from the state, a ratings agency warned on Wednesday.

The agency, Moody’s Investors Service, said in an analysis that the city would run out of money in the next few weeks, which could lead to bankruptcy, if two measures are not approved by lawmakers.

How dafuq did Atlantic City get a $102 Million annual deficit when people flip their shit that Newark had a $30 Million annual deficit?! Atlantic City is just 40,000, compared with Newark's 280,000!!!

From the deciphering the 2015 municipal budget from their website that was published in September (for some reason called the 2006 budget as they use the same form from 2006)
    http://www.cityofatlanticcity.org/do...24140631-3.pdf

They had $265 Million in expenses. Sheet 3c page 12
They had $132 Million in property tax revenue (out of $202 Million as the calculated maximum) Sheet 3b(a) page 13
Because of varying other sources of revenue (payment in lieu of taxes, state aid, federal aid for road projects, payments for utilities, casino taxes), they had an additional $130 Million in Revenue on Sheet 11 Page 26, with sections A-G broken down on the previous 7 pages.

According to that budget, it all matches up quite close to a deficit of $3 Million

Where does that article come up with $102 Million?

Anyone know of anything, or have any pics and renderings of the Hard Rock? They must be doing visible work by now?
