I like it the way it is, this way the glass alternates between the midheight break thing. It puts the other residentials on W 42nd to shame.

Woe be to those poor folks in the Ivy across the street ( rental building, no?).

Bye bye views. And in the Orion's shadow for half the day.

Not to mention their view is now of a tower much better than theirs. tough break indeed.

That is strange--I wonder what you saw. Maybe they are preparing a sample unit? In any case, it is good to hear that the interior of the bottom half looks close to being done!

Interior finishes are underway on the lower floors.

Anyone have new updates on estimated occupancy?

I'm not sure, but I hear there are a lot of investors so maybe the first few months might be empty.

I hope to be sigining a contract soon for a one bedroom on the 60th. I wonder how long it will take to get up to that floor? I forgot to ask how many elevators.

I was also looking at Millennium Towers in Battery Park, but the taxes there are high and there is no 421 or anything like that. It's a nice building though.

    Cool 60th fllor

I think some of the condo's have been released on the 58th and 60th floor...look on Corcorans website to see exactly which units are available...

Yes, I looked at 60F and hope to sign sometime next week or the following. Can't wait to live so high up.

There are only 8 apartments on that floor I believe.

you might want to hurry and sign, it seems that the apts are going at a pretty good pace.....do you know what percentage is sold out now?

I was surprised not to see an ad by the Orion in the NY Times real estate section this Sunday. I think it does mean apartments are going fast.

Or, (1) the exclusive broker agreement has expired and with it the major marketing campaign or (2) they have opened the building up to co-brokering allowing all or select REBNY members to take a shot and selling remaining units.

I walked the Hudson River Park today. The building looks superb. I think the next building at Dwyer Street and the one across from River Place are going to make 42nd Street a canyon (and an impressive one at that). It just might become a very dark street - even at high noon.

Especially in the winter when the sun drops lower on the horizon and the wind is whipping off the Hudson from the west -- it'll be a long walk home for those who live near the river.

yes, I am due to sign as soon as my lawyer gets the contract. it's silly, it's not like it's a negotiable contract, more a formality.
I'm excited, living on the 60th floor, kinda high, but fun, hopefully I have some sort of nice view.
What's with the 421a? I hear it is 99% definite, but they have not been given it yet.
Do you we have to do anything on our part when they do get it?

Zabi - there is a most wonderful two page spead in the magazine section of the Sunday NY Times today showcasing the Orion.
