Thanks for the report, Detigiwa! Reports from any other partygoers would be appreciated. Any news at the party about completion and move in dates?

It was a well done party on the 58th floor. The views were spectacular but my pictures didn't come out so great because of the raindrops on the windows.

I spoke with the agent and she said they are expecting move-in dates in late February, early March for the bottom half and early October (2006) for the top floors. I was disappointed to learn, however, that the lobby and amenity floors will not be ready in Feb/March and she said this is typical of new construction. I met some nice neighbors but there were also a lot of investors, brokers and people with no connection whatsoever with the Orion. I asked around for Brooklynrider but he was nowhere to be found.

The view was great, I wish i had that view from 19th, anyway. I did not know that many ppl from the form went last night. We should have all met up. I talked to detigiwa on the phone and saw angny, and Bobo at the party.

sorry i was unable to attend. were you able to get to the 19th floor? i am on 19f and am kind of curious about the view from there. i did speak to a sales person who was in that apt and said it was pretty good.

Was anyone able to take good pictures of the view fromt the 58th floor? Also, was it too dark to see what the view of the water would look like?

The party was good. Personnally though I found it very crowded, and when we were waiting for the ride down I wondered whether that scafolding (outside of the building and 58 stories high) was designed to be filled with all the people trying to leave. The party was only on the 58th floor (no open house roaming). The rain was disappointing but the view was really great.

I have some pics (but size appears too big... I'll still work on getting them posted.

By the way, I bought 46C, so it looks like October for me to move in.
