Default Saint Patrick's Cathedral - Fifth Avenue at East 51st Street - by James Renwick, Jr.

I could have sworn there was a thread on this. I can't find it.

Just a few front views. Feel free to add your shots (please do).

    Default interior?

Any interior shots anyone cares to post?
I am trying to recall what the inside looked like, I was there when I was about 9 int the mid 60's and had walked up the aisle maybe 3/4 down towards the altar. I can remember some sculpture groups or something like stations of the cross along I'm guessing the North wall (left side as you walk in the 5th ave entrance)
Somewhere around 3/4 the way down I stopped to look at one group sculpture and a priest (was all dressed in black, white clerical collar) exposed himself to me in the pew.
He vanished thru a door right near there along the North wall that would have gone towards the East but It's difficult to put the pieces together visually of what that area looks like compared to what I remember.
I have seen a few shots over the years but dark, out of focus or difficult to see out of context

If anyone has any photos of that area I'd appreciate seeing them

One of the problems of a glass curtain wall ...

Hanging laundry outside the windows could hardly be less attractive

As I revealed above I've never been a fan of the Olympic Tower just north of St. Patrick's ...

But walking up Madison the other day as the sun was starting to move down the Olympic actually looked good -- simple and pure behind the exuberance of the Cathedral ...
