These things next to the ESB just come across as insignificant. I had mixed feelings about the balconies, but I just hate them in this location. I don't know that its a bad building and design as much as the COMPLETELY wrong building and design for that location.

I just think of glass working when it surrounds the whole building. Leaving a cement wall like that reminds me of one of those hollywood sets where the whole town scene is fake in the back, held up by wood supports. I thought of buying there but I backed out with the appox 1250/sq ft initial offering pricing (1st ammendment). What to eat tonite honey? McDonalds or Korean again?

Yes, at night time in that area it is really a problem. You'd have to walk over a few blocks to hit any real choices.

I was driving on the BQE from Brooklyn to Queens (where you get the magnificent views of the East Side Midtown Skyline.) Anyway, this building makes no impact on the skyline.

Wow, looks so puny compared to the Empire State.

Thankfully. This tower is terrible looking, especially that blank wall on the north side.

You went to the ESB today, krulltime?

Still don't know what they're going to do with that north-facing blank wall.

I don't like this building and I hate that goofy little curved afterthought on the roof.

My guess is that it involves the neighbor to the north: seemingly the 6-story building on the corner of 33rd (333 5th Ave.) could come down and something taller could go up -- right against the blank wall at 325.

    DOB records show that the lot for 333 5th is 70' x 25' = 1750 ft. / sq.:

Not sure what would be allowable there (Zoning Dist: C2-5), but I'd be amazed if any new structure could go the full height of the blank wall.

    Smile Very glam photo, nimby!

I took the Hudson Bergen light rail train a couple of weeks ago and you can barely see the building from that route.
