It costs almost nothing to file revised plans with the city.

The tower is as-of-right, so they can do whatever they want within the zoning rules.

The actual forms themselves are cheap, yes. Expediting them so the DOB looks at them in the next millennium and approves them is not. Even small plans like a new AC unit (even when fines are on the line) only costs $100 bucks to file but then a couple thousand to expedite.

The cost of an expediter - even if its thousands - clearly would not be an issue: but, if your saying it could take a "long time" to process the permits: yes, that would definitely be a deterrent to filing a new permit.

Got word that the derrick that was on WTC Tower 4 to remove it's crane will be re-located to One 57 to take down the crane

432 Park, Zeckendorf's 60th Street Tower and 225 West 57th will all have a great impact on this view.
A unifying centerpiece would be a very tall (1700'+) building rising around Sixth Avenue. Perhaps where that white brick rental building, Hemisphere House sits and the vacant lots adjacent to it can be redeveloped into a Chicago Spire-esque mega tower.

I've been wondering for quite some time if the rental building on 57th and 6th would be razed and redeveloped with the empty lots. Unless the owner of the lots has a grand vision, it makes no sense to keep them undeveloped.

Even taller and even glassier than 1715 Broadway!

I've gotten so use to the height of this tower that the view seems off without it.

Was in Central Park, at the top of the Great Lawn, for the NYE fireworks. They were reflecting off of One 57, which was an interesting effect.
