Rosa Mexicano on First Avenue between 57th and 58th Streets. Good, authentic Mexican food; prices can be a bit steep, though.

Mary Ann's, three locations (78th and 2nd, 14th-ish and 8th, 4th-ish and 2nd). Traditional fare with excellent "Americanized" dishes like burritos and chimichangas. The guacamole is exceptionally chunky and delicious. The margaritas and fajitas are supposed to be great, too.

For good food, big portions, great price - Benny's Buritos, Greenwich Street.

On 46th Street between 5th Ave & 6th Ave - El Tequila - excellent Fajitas.

Loupes - 6th Ave by Spring Street.

I've had Zarelas (excellent) - MaryAnn's - (Good). There's also a little place on West 4th Street just west of 6th ave, south side of street - great food.

There's a Mary Ann's on West Broadway between Chambers and Reade. It was once called Gloria's.

I agree - food is ok. The margaritas are excellent. There is outside dining. A good spot for people watching. A summer place.
