Question I-95 and Washington Brdg or 287/Garden State parkway

I am driving from Boston to Delaware Friday evening. I was wondering if I shoul take I-95 and Washington Bridge or 287/Garden state parkway. I am planning to leave Boston around 4-6pm so I'll probably hit rush hour traffic.
When I was driving from DE to Boston two weeks ago, it took me 3 hrs to pass Washington Bridge.
    Any suggestions?

I would take the Tappan Zee, not the GW.

    Question

Thanks. Should I take Garden State Parkway all the way down untill it intersects I-95, or take 80 east to I-95 ?

Take the parkway down to 95. Now that the southbound toll plazas are gone, it's much faster. Plus, you don't have to backtrack at all. It's a straight shot.

Listen to the traffic reports - if you should find the Parkway is jammed then you have other options.

    On the 1's - 1010 WINS AM

    On the 8's - WCBS AM 880
