^ah, you just missed out. It's going 24 hr from September. Despite the fact 500,000 go clubbing, or some districts alone see 1 million punters in a night, for ages they claimed it takes at least 4 hrs to clean a train (utter bullshit if you ask me). Worst thing is nightlife is moving out of the centre due to the greedy prices, and the interminable night bus trips from further and further out is decimating what was once the largest nightlife in the world . 24 hr tube couldn't have come sooner

The Central, Jubilee, Northern, Piccadilly and Victoria lines will begin 24hr operation from this September with a train every 10 minutes. But it was also announced earlier this year that 24hr operation would extend to the Circle, District, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan lines, the London Overground and the DLR in phases before 2021.

My apologies for the lack of updates as I have been exceedingly busy.

London continues to grow at a rapid rate, with the population having recently surpassed its pre-war peak of 8.6mn, and due to surpass the 9mn mark possibly before the end of the decade. London’s population has also overtaken that of New York’s; how times have changed!

As a consequence there is a rabid amount of development going on across the entire city, and it is increasingly harder to chronicle the entire spectacle. The following image of Canary Wharf and the Greenwich Peninsula shows how ridiculous things have reached; the wooden blocks represent developments that are either under construction, approved or proposed, and this isn’t touching developments around Stratford, Nine Elms, etc...

    Greenwich Peninsula
I sadly lack the time to compile a vast update, but thought it worthy to mention the redevelopment of the Greenwich Peninsula which will be home to some twenty five towers over 100m. Had it not been for the location of City Airport a short distance to the east, I could imagine the site intensity would have reached sillier proportions.
