Nice work Derek. One tower you forgot - the elusive Piano tower in downtown Brooklyn from Ratner. This puts to rest those crying over height in NYC.

^ But you still gotta build them though, in order to shut them up.

The point of whoever was ranting before is successfully countered by this thread, closed case. New York is light years ahead of Dubai, even in the sad state NY is in right now architecturally.

Thanks, Derek. I realize we've put to rest the kvetching about New York not "wanting" to build tall buildings, but for posterity I believe Solow was also proposing a number of buildings in the 700- to 900-foot range before getting shut down by the community board (whom, it's true, he treated like insignificant specks, the unsavvy moron)/running out of money.

They are insignificant specks to be honest, but you cant say that to them, unfortunately.

Yea, the Solow buildings top out at 600' now.
I'll continue the list and include them. Should I start a new thread?

Right, there was never an exact height given for that one so I wasn't sure where to add it. I added it anyways, estimating it at about 700'. Thanks.

That'd be great, if you don't mind. It'd be interesting to take a snapshot of all the significant buildings proposed during this recent boom, then see how many get built, how many don't, and what gets dusted off when the next upturn hits.
