I hope that Larry gets a tenant.

As long as that tenant doesn't want that crappy BIG design...what a piece o $hit.

    Damn it.

Is it sad that I'd rather a supertall from Dubai to grace this site over Ingels' design?

I doubt that anything will rise here any time soon.

Ah - that's what I logged on to see if there was any buzz about. My understanding is that the rump base/pilings were built with Fosters design in mind - using the BIG/ugly design would need some working of the base.

That would make Fosters design more economical in some senses, as the base wouldn't require any rework - so it might be back in play. As a huge fan... fingers crossed.

i like the big design much better than the foster. i hope that one stays. db doesnt need that fox media friendly design though, so if they take the site, and i think they will, it will probably end up with the foster or something else.

If the prospective tenant wants the Foster design, Larry will give them the Foster design. The BIG design would require demolishing the current 2WTC base, which would be massively intrusive, cost a lot more money, and take a lot more time.
