Looks almost similar to the one used on the northesat corner of and for 1 WTC that straddles the outbound PATH subway tracks undreground.

D13 has matured quite a bit from back in the day. Circa 2006 he was down right nuts.

STR, tone down the name calling please. It is not pleasant. You're no angel. I find it very arrogant to pass judgement on your perception of other people's maturity level.

No name calling intended. Quite the opposite. He seems like a much different person than what I recall. I didn't expect it, and I'm glad to be surprised. Evolution of one's self is not easy and many don't bother with it. So perhaps my previous statement was a little backhanded, I really meant as a compliment on how he's noticeably grown.

As for me, I am most certainly not an angel.

Please, lighten up a little on STR. In fact he actually gave Daquan13 a complement.

I would just like to reiterate that my comment was all in fun.

Yep, more columns, rebar mat almost ready for a pour and I bet they are going to bring in more steel this weekend. (The earthcam hires is all over the place today !)

Hummmmmm, this is a guess, but the current position of the 18000's boom and jib hint that they might be reconfiguring the main or secondary host rigging. Could they be preparing for a super column lift ?!?

(For those of you who don't know, I think they are increasing the number of parts in the main hoist rigging. In English, more parts means it can lift more, but at the cost of speed.)

Maybe I should post this over at the Hub forum.

This is such a magnficient tower. I really hope that we're not stuck with a five-story retail base for a long time. If the crap planned for the Yards wasn't going to be built, it seems that this would have attracted tenants. However, Steve "Sy Syms" Ross is offering such low rents on his bargain rack suits (i.e., the cancer towers planned for the Yards) that tenants likely will chose that crap over this gem.

This tower isn't even building a retail stump, just to street level. It will all be built at once. Tower 3 is the only proposed retail stump.

It's the other way around. Silverstein has to raise 400 million and land a tenant worth leasing about 400,000sf. Tower 2 Is being built to grade to level out the site. Unless market conditions have improved and there are about a dozen tenants waiting for space in this tower that I don't know about, then that's the case for now.

Remember the fuel cells delivered to T1 awhile back? When they need changing, the only way to change them is truck them up that not so little ramp. Also, all the day to day needs of the tenants will pass through that ramp, everything from office supplies to the CEO's new 2 ton granite desk.
