Based on the steel they have erected this morning, I guess Tower two will have at least one floor. I hope they take it to two, though, so the name fits.

Is that actual steel for the building, or just some kind of temporary cap to protect it for now? I thought they were stopping at street level?

Am not a fan of Tower 2, so actually I hope it doesn't get built in its present plan. The top is kid stuff and awkward. Perhaps after a few years the plans can be redrafted so we get something better.

I absolutely agree. I would have preferred this one ahead of four, then four, then three.

Didn't realize this one was still rising.

It's going to be depressing to see construction eventually come to a halt. C'mon, Larry... get those tenants locked up this month and keep these guys going!

In the last few weeks, and currently (unrelated to WTC work) I am spending several hours a week working closely with one of the many members of the top executive staff at SP; sorry to report - from what I gather - it is not going to happen any time soon.

My guess is that the back end of tower 2 (which is one story above grade) will serve as a crucial entry point to some part of the underground infrastructure. Either subway access, retail access, etc... which is why it's being built out now.
