    Damn.
They reduced the square footage and number of floors.

This site is immediately to the east of 10 West End Ave, and across 60th St from an immense cleared site (on which there is a pile driver but no other sign of construction). A block north and across WEA is the in-construction 33 WEA (and to the south is the nasty parking structure that is supposed to house the new John Jay building).

And at 63rd & 64th, the streets are supposed to be extended into the Extell (ex-Trump Place) area, including the new Avery.

I'm hard pressed to think of any part of Manhattan (except perhaps Tribeca 5B and 5C sites) that is currently changing so quickly and where so many new residents will move in the near future.

Has anyone purchased a condo in this building yet? I was wondering if this building is giving any special concessions like 5% off the closing costs like for the Extell developments. Thanks!

I think below ground / foundation work is still in progress. Can someone confirm?

    Anyway, here's another rendering.

    I'm not liking that base.

    I shouldn't think so.

September is quite a ways away so they should have plenty of time.

    Congratulations on your purchase.

What floor are they up to right now?

I'm interested in this condo also. Could you tell me a little bit about your experience with the sales process. Which sales person did you deal with? Any particular one you would recommend. are they offering any concessions/contributing to closing cost? Any tips for me as I am new to this process. I also don't quite understand about the offering plan. Do you have to pay to get it, and what info does it provide.

    Thanx

Yes you have to pay for the offering plan. With a check of $250 you can take the apartmant you like off the market. You and your lawyer has one week to go over this plan and then sign the contract. IF you decide no to go ahead with the purchase then you return the offering plan and they don't cash your check.

The offering plan has important details about the building in it. All the sales people in the sales office are nice, Debra is the sales agent we used. We did not get any closing cost discounts.

    GOOD LUCK!

The last time I went by there, they were up to the 8th or 9th floor. I bought a one bedroom on the 6th floor mid last year. They were not giving any concessions at that time though the apts were pretty reasonably priced given the building's amenities and the size. If you count the outdoor space, the apts were actually around 900 per sq foot. Most of the apts had a 130 sq ft terrace which was really the big selling point for me. You can fit quite a lot of people in that much space.

Does anyone have any new pics of construction on the element and/or 10 West End?

How many people do you plan to get onto the terrace?

Aren't you worried that it might collapse under too much weight?
