Default Hunters Point, Queens (Lots of Photos!)

Hunters Point/Long Island City (Queens Neighborhood):

Hunters Point is the neighborhood most people mean when they say Long Island City. One subway stop from Midtown, this working-class and industrial neighborhood is transforming into a premier residential enclave with the housing prices to match.

The East River waterfront defines Hunters Point, through its factories, its brilliant views of the Manhattan skyline, and now its ads for future condos. The biggest banners of change are the Queens West towers and the Citibank tower.

I hope you like my photos!

My plan is to do take more photos of other New york City neighborhoods before any snow falls. I like to take photos right now since the trees have no leaves... hence photos of streets and buildings are much better, I think. But ofcourse I love those green trees when the summer comes.

Nice pics. Glad to see the Waterfront Crabhouse, they have great steaks there. There are a couple of good bars along Vernon Blvd: L.I.C. and the one of 47th Ave. come to mind.

    Default LIC Hunters Point

It's been a long time since I've been in the old neighborhood. This has been a walk down memory lane for me.

Thanks for sharing the many photo's.

Thanks for the photo tour of an interesting and varied neighborhood. Needs to lose those parking lots, though.
