There's a large construction project starting on the NW corner of 29th and 6th. A block north of Remy. Anyone knows what project that is? Looks kinda big.

That would be this project. On the next block up from that is this one.

OK I see thanks, in 5-10 years 6th Avenue from CP South to 14th will be quite interesting.

I walked by the site a few days ago -- no activity as far as I could tell.

However, they have re-poured the sidewalk around the site and moved the construction fence back to the property line (so folks no longer have to walk out n the street).

Seems the CURBED report was scooping the sidewalk pour

There was some major infrastructure (Con Ed?) work going on at Sixth Avenue in that area for some time. I wonder if that affected their schedule? I had considered the project dead - based on nothing in particular beyond the dead time since the lot was cleared.

    Question

    I Know Its Dead There
    Nothing Happening

But Is There Any News That They Will Start Working?

Or Is The Project Not Happening?

It Looked Like A Great Project

Maybe the owners are trying to flip the project. The site is definitely more valuable than when construction began.

I hope that whomever builds it uses the same design. This is a really great-looking project, and would likely sell for more per square ft. than its neighborhood competitors.

The site had projected onto the sidewalk, forcing pedestrians into the street. That has changed and the site is neatly within theproperty lines. "Dead" seems to sum it up.
