It may be bland or worse but at least it's there and the city continues to heal. A parking lot is the absence of the city, like an amputation.

I'd like to see the POS on the northwest corner of 6th Ave. and 14th St. get razed. It's horrible. I assume that it's rent-regulated since it's fairly run-down and dreary.

Does anyone know what's going on with the small parking lot on the west side of 6th at 16th or 17th? It was supposed to be redeveloped years ago.

There is a little corner parking lot on the east side of 6th at 15th (see right-hand corner of the above picture), is that the one you mean? In any case, I have been wondering about that one myself. The Mason's grand lodge is right to the south and an office building to the east. Doubt that any building on that corner would be particularly tall or good-looking. And I'd rather see a parking lot there at this point than another McSam's.

Methinks you're both talking 9 blocks too far south ...

The Mason's building is at 6th / 23rd -- the parking lot there is at the SE corner of 6th / 24th ...

Some landmark when you have a building up the block just like you.

I think they meant to call it the "skidmark."
