I'm guessing they want a larger light well back there.

They put the first additional floor up over the weekend. I'll have a pic later today.

I took a look at this project today - using the citibike docking station directly in front of the building - and it seems the interior gut renovation is in full swing: work crews outside, deliveries and huge palates of construction materials, exterior scaffolding, ect.

This will be an interesting project to follow: I will subscribe and try to keep this thread alive.....

Yes. It has been for some time now. I miss the clock telling the time. I have no idea how long I am stuck on the throne anymore.

Some of the crap north of here on B'Way must be redeveloped. That stretch of B'Way has some stunning towers with a handful of absolutely sh.i.tty sites mixed in. It would be nice to see them redeveloped with nice projects and to see B'Way Blvd extended through this area.

The construction can be seen in this video of a van on fire at Madison Square Park

Is this thing stalled? It's still just unfinished steel beams up top, like in the photos above from last September. From down below it looks like no recent changes.

Not at all. I sit on the can at the office watching them work on it every day. They are using a temporary crane to place the steel, so it's slow going (whenever the weather is ok and they can close the road for the weekend). My view of the clock is gone, but they're not done with steel on top. What is stalled is my patience for bringing my camera to the office. Maybe today. There are so many buildings due for an update.

Yep, definitely not stalled. Sales have been great here, as well. I think the area surrounding Madison Square Park will emerge as a rival to Columbus Circle in terms of pricing in the 2020s, and the rate at which change has occurred/is occurring is insane. Eichner's 795' tower won't hurt, either.

And the simple fact is, 'NoMAD' is nicer than Columbus Circle. The scene/vibrancy of the neighborhood is fantastic, and it lacks the tourist-y aspect that characterizes Central Park South/Time Warner -- with the exception of Eataly.
