The spire on 1 WTC looks very nice in person.

I thought that you lived in Nebraska or somewhere in the Midwest. When did you visit?

    I visit once per year.

Can I still comment or is that not kosher?

P.S. We got horseless carriages last year.

I'm guessing that the gap in the middle of the East side is where a construction elevator will be?

I guess I'm the only GroupM employee on these boards... we received word from our CEO late last week that we have officially signed the lease for 3 World Trade Center with the expectation of the building being completed in 2016. The prior signature was the letter of intent, not the lease.

Well, there you go. Another stalled site back to life. Deimos, how do you feel about going to work there?

    Expectation or caveat?

Seems wishful thinking for this building to be complete in 2016.

I'm not excited. This tower is nothing special, and it will result in the market bring flooded with 2m empty sf of space.

All in all, I'm not looking forward to another 20+ minutes of commuting time, but I'm intrigued about whether the new development spurns improvements to the nightlife downtown. I'm seriously considering moving to the area when the building gets closer to completion. We won't be moving in until the end of 2017 at the earliest as our space will take a year after the building's completion to be finished.

I agree with IrishInNYC that these timelines feel a little aggressive.
