    Thumbs down

The more I look at it being done the less inert I am about it, considering what we could've had (on attached pic) which was so much more rich looking than what we are going to end up.

I now officially dislike this 3 WTC.

3 World Trade Center Now Stands at Half of Its Final Height

August 7, 2015, by Zoe Rosenberg

Even though work resumed on 3 World Trade Center just five months ago, the future supertall tower's core is already halfway to its superlative height. YIMBY reports that the building's core now stands at 41 of 80 stories, with pictures from a tipster to prove it, even though it doesn't look that tall surrounded by its sky-high neighbors. When the 600 people who come to work at the site every day are finished building up the structure in 2016, it will stand approximately 1,170 feet tall.

The building's revised design doesn't feature rooftop masts.

A tweaked design for the tower by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners was unveiled after developer Larry Silverstein secured financing for the site following a fraught battle that kept the development stalled for several years. YIMBY says that 3 World Trade Center should top out in late 2016, be glassed by 2017, and be ready for tenants by 2018.

Cool (but spiky ) photos, KZ.

Do you know what that building with the skeleton domes is on the left in the first photo?

Thank you! That building is known as Greenwich Court, and there's actually two of them lining the east side of Greenwich Street there. They're one of the many late-'80s developments to grace Tribeca.

Thanks, KZ. I thought it looked a lot older than it is. I still quite like it.

My cousin lives in the north one. Great view from the roof deck.

This tower is the best project in NY right now from a serious architectural design standpoint, hardly lame.
